Giveaway Announcement: Giveaways will now be run using RAFFLECOPTER!

Hey everyone!

I wanted to make some announcements about rule changes to my giveaways so everyone will see!! It's recently come to my attention that there some followers of my blog that are confused as to how my giveaways are run, and why I have been running them the way that I do.

Over the past months, I had not been announcing the names and e-mails of all giveaway winners on my blog. I used to do this, and I recently had not been. Why? Many, many of my past giveaways winners were contacted by different, jealous individuals, harassing them verbally via e-mail for winning their respective giveaway. (Which is totally uncool!!) In light of trying to cease the harassment of some of my readers, I had stopped announcing any information that others could use to contact them with--I simply directly contacted the giveaway winners via their e-mail due to this privacy issue.

However, I noticed that this has also caused confusion with many readers, not knowing when contests are officially over, etc.

I racked my brain trying to think of ways that I could announce winners, but also not forfeit their privacy in the process--and I found the answer! From now on, if this process works well for you guys, I will be using Rafflecopter for all my giveaways! Winners names will be announced, but NOT their e-mails! Awesome, right? Here's an example of a Rafflecopter giveaway, run by my friend Jennifer:

It's a little widget that you use to enter, rather than messing around with a bunch of other stuff--AND it lets you all know when the giveaway is over, too! I feel like it's way more streamline, don't you??

Anyway, I'm always trying to think of ways to make this blog more fun, or easier for you guys to use. So if any of you have any suggestions, please do use this post as an outlet--I didn't know about Rafflecopter until just recently, and it's obviously a much better method, so don't be afraid to suggest awesome things I may not be privy to!

Thanks for reading my blog, as always!!

I have to preface this post by saying: I am obsessed with leopard print! Don't care what anyone else says, it's awesome! (I think I just secretly with I was a cat!) Most of these photos are taken by Levi of aSociete!

I actually realized I'd somehow forgotten to post this second outfit to my blog, so here it is!

Coat is by BangGood, skirt is by aSociete, and shoes are by Sammy Dress!

Video Interview + aSociete: GIVEAWAY #29

I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not yet, but recently I was lucky enough to get to collaborate with the clothing website aSociete! They'd worked with two of my fashion blogger friends before, so I knew it would be fun. Liz, Levi, and David of aSociete even drove all the way up from San Francisco to Oregon to do the photoshoot and interview with me!
It was super fun, and all three of them were super fun to be around. Although it was bitterly cold, and all of us were out in it for 8+ hours, I really love how the photos turned out! This shoot really helped me learn how to push myself to my limits without going too far, and I'm very grateful for the experience.

In celebration of our collaboration, aSociete is letting me hold a giveaway for some of the items in my Look Book on their website!

Here's the giveaway info!

PRIZE: Winner will receive all the items shown in the image above!

RULES:
1. You must sign up with aSociete, here.
2. You must share the link of the INTERACTIVE VIDEO below on 1 of your social media outlets. (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) For additional  entries, you may follow aSociete on Instagram, "Like" them on Facebook, or continue to share the video link on your various social outlets.
3. You must follow this blog via Google Friend Connect along the right side of the blog, follow on Bloglovin', and click "like" on the Facebook page for this blog. (If you've already done this before, no need to do it again--that step is complete!)
4. And most importantly, you must comment on this post with your e-mail address so you can be contacted if you're the winner! (Please do mention in your comment how many places you've shared the contest, etc., so I can count your entries!)

Right below is the video you must share! This is the link:

Giveaway ends on May 1st at 11:59pm, and winners will be chosen randomly.

Also, aSociete did a little interview with me along with the interactive video above, so I figured I'd share that, too!

It was REALLY cold, so I'm talking a little slow, haha! The lighting was also SUPER dark because it was foggy so I feel like some of the lighting on my face/ the clothes is a little awkward, but overall I really like these videos! I love film editing so I really respect someone that can make neat, short little videos like this!

Below are a few out takes from the shoot!

aSociete rode around in the back of our truck and I think we almost killed them!! Oh no!!

For some reason, I look very smug in this photo, haha!

Josh took most of these out takes-- I really love this last one that's panoramic, what a view!!

Incase you were wondering more about aSociete, here's a bit of information abut their awesome company!

"aSociete is the first ever site for you to shop what you watch, shop what you see, and shop what you read. They offer inspiration and lifestyle women's clothing + accessories for the young, fashionable, and trendy. They curate the latest fashion trends through photos, videos, and a digital magazine that you have the ability to shop for, all in one place. aSociete also offers Flexpay allowing you to pay half of your order now and half 30 days later. This young group of fashion lovers is the first to bring you a new shopping experience while still providing affordable products!"

Anyway, overall, I had a really good experience with aSociete and I'm very glad to have worked with them!

Until next time,
xoxo, ashlei

Seattle trip!

So let me preface this post by announcing: I AM A GIANT NERD! I always have, and always will be! I love cartoons, comics, and especially anime. (In fact, I went to college partially for 3D animation and video game production/ film!) I've never really been the type to go around blasting about my nerdy hobbies, but believe me, they're very present--and I think it's good to have a few "nerdy" hobbies!

Since I'm interested in basically all things clothing and fashion related, I also have a huge interest in Cosplay. (The art of re-creating a costume from a show or game, and wearing it!) However I suck at sewing, so I just watch my friends do it, since they're awesome at it!

If you'd like to check out my blogger friends who appear in this post, you can check them out here:

All of us getting ready to leave! Except for Josh who took the photo, haha.

Fudge packin' LOL

This is what I wore the first day! My top is from Oasap, and my heels are from Sammy Dress.

Everyone looks SO happy in this photo, I love it!

Fuckin'..."less weird dudes". I can't get over this, lol. (This TV had like a 10 second delay, but it was live streaming to crunchyroll, and all the words on the screen are of people who are watching the stream saying things.)

Candid shot Josh took of me & Jenna! She's dressed as Magical Girl Pretty Sammy I helped a little with making her wig!!

This cracks me up every fucking time.

Elevator party!

So, we made this really shitty blanket fort in the hotel room, partially using one of the luggage trolly's. (Which we left in the room the whole weekend like dicks because we forgot to bring it back downstairs)

Potentially the best depth of field this shitty camera has ever taken. On a dumb sign! What a waste.

Victoria heroically saving us all from the evil shitty squirrel.

I hope you guys liked these photos! I promise, I won't post super nerdy stuff too often :P
