Summer is nearly here!

I hope to inspire some summer and traveling fun with this post--I recently moved and also kinda smashed my finger in a door (which caused a huge lack of updates on Faltering Bird, sorry!!) so I hope this post is fun for you guys! Me and Josh and Michelle went to Fern Ridge recreation area recently and took a few pics, too!

My swimsuit top is by SwimSpot, my geometric print towel is from Freestylextreme, and my american flag shorts are by Chicwish! (My new favourite summer shorts!!)

In the spirit of summer, here's a really awesome song I wanted to share, too. It's called "Slow Down" by Poolside, and it's the Pixelated 2012 end of the world remix.

Can't wait to go camping and to the beach and on awesome trips like to SoCal and Las Vegas this summer! Usually in the summer my friends and I end up going to Las Vegas for the Electric Daisy Carnival massive outdoor concert, and when we do we're always looking for cheap deals, so if you're planning on traveling there you might want to check out Orleans Casino Hotel for some great info. 

We decided against EDC this year, but I think it would really be fun to go back to Las Vegas--I want to explore the city more! What are your summer plans?!

I really LOVE my new summer beach towel by Volcom from Freestylextreme, too! It even has a secret zip pocket to put your sunscreen, etc. in! This picture of me is so weird to me because I don't really EVER show my teeth in photos. Grinning with teeth is so weird!! PS: I AM SO PASTY WHITE, lol.

Josh was pretty much relegated to blowing up the floaties for like a year since me and Michelle would never have been able to stand using the hand pump for that long, haha!

Pastel Crown

Wore this recently hanging out with my friend Michelle again, who was, as always, nice enough to take some photos for me! Although it's still spring here, it's actually starting to get really hot for Oregon! (Like in the upper 80's!!) Is it nearly summer where you are? If so, how hot is it?!

This place is seriously so magical! Probably why we keep coming back to it over and over again!

Really loving the lace detailing on this top--it's kinda see though, but still elegant!

Got this necklace from Oasap as well! I like to this of it as a scarab, even though it's pretty abstract as to what type of bug it is!

Last but not least, this amazing floral crown is by Tevin Vincent!! For some reason it was so bright out we couldn't really get a good super close-up, but it's sooo pretty! I've tried my hand at making floral crowns myself, but they always end up sitting on my head super funny. This one is just perfect!

Coachella Day 1 outfit

This is what I wore the first day of Coachella in Palm Springs!! I actually took this look ahead of time at home because I knew I probably wouldn't bother to at Coachella...and boy was I right! So glad I took these ahead of time.

Floral Summer

So, I'm super SUPER obsessed with florals and pastels right now, so you'll probably be seeing a lot of this, sorry!! My skirt is from Sheinside, and my top is from Romwe! (Photos are by Michelle M.!)

Speaking of florals, I'm seriously like DYING for this floral crop top from Garage online. Hnng, want so bad! Putting something as rad as florals and a crop top together is almost too awesome!

I really really love this neckalce, it's so delicate and made out of wood and porcelain. It used to belong to my Great Aunt! She actually died a long time before I was ever even born, but I have quite a few things from her, she was a really neat lady with AWESOME style!

Coachella Weekend 2 & Palm Springs!

Hey everyone!! I was lucky enough to win tickets from H&M for me and my friends to Coachella weekend 2, so here are some photos from the event! There are a ton of pictures, so I hope you all like Coachella. Above photo was taken by H&M, thanks guys!!

Most of these photos are taken by me or Josh, but some of them are snagged off of my friend's Instagrams, so a lot of these are really candid!

I have a lot of photos from the trip in general so I figured I'd share a few first from the event itself so ya'll don't get bored! This was the first day--I just love how the ferris wheel is centered in the background!

Coachella Day 0

There were be lots of obligatory palm tree shots in this post, sorry! Also, I love In-N-Out, uuugh.

We bought WAY more than we could even drink. Too bad we couldn't bring it back on the plane!

The hotel H&M put us up in was amazing--we even had 2 rooms but we didn't need the second!

Feather Hearts gave me a BUNCH of really awesome t-shirts--this one has cobras on it and I have already worn it like five times, it's such a soft t-shirt!

We both look totally stank-faced and angry, but for some reason this picture makes me laugh so I'm putting it up!

Coachella Day 1

I woke up the morning of Coachella Day 1 to Josh rooting around in the drawer next to my head making drinks. I thought this was a funny image! Wakey-wakey!

Welcome to camp with some our friends!! I didn't notice this photo was being taken I guess, haha!

Also, I had a friend of mine take my outfit shot for Day 1 ahead of time since nice cameras weren't allowed into the event, so I'll be posting those up in a separate post since there are a lot of them!

Jenna is so cuuuute ahhh!!! Matt actually had a shirt on the first day that had an unhappy face on it, so this strage setup made us all laugh!

There were some super amazing preformers at the Dew Lab stage every night!

When they were done, they put up a moon each night to  signify their completion of the act.

We didn't end up going to day 3 since we wanted to take advantage of the lazy river at the resort we were staying at. It was totally worth it!! We're all really tired and glad to be home, but Coachella was awesome! Hope we can go next year, as well!
